James Tanner: Coyotes to Potentially Play Nashville - James_Tanner
" The Coyotes are the 11th seed, but it's only because they got the 4th best goaltending in the NHL this year that they don't have a shot at Alex Laffierrier."
Who's Alex Laffierrier?
" Let's face it, Joseph doesn't deserve to be ranked so highly on this list based on his actual play as a Coyote. But he makes it because he is my favorite goaltending of all-time and I made the damn list."
My favourite goaltending of all-time is Dominik Hasek. |

In a sentimental way I like the Cujo pick, although he had totally run out of gas by the time he hit Arizona. When I think of him, my first thoughts go to his time in St.Louis because they had so little in their lineup. It seemed like they were always trading away or losing all but a handful of decent players every year, and he was one of the few left to clean up the mess. Then he went to Edmonton, which was at least equally as bad.
His greatest work though was in Edmonton, even though I can't remember which year specifically without researching. But I do remember a year where he regularly faced over 35 shots and had more than a couple over 40. They were a roster of grinders that got hemmed in all the time. He was their star, even though I'm sure his numbers wouldn't show it by stats alone. |

Definitely, but Toronto had a team that could support a good goalie and do some damage. So he was more just another valuable part of a playoff team, than the diamond in the rough that he was in his St.Louis and Edmonton days.
Looking at it now his playoff numbers in most years of his career, especially in Toronto were incredibly better than his regular season. Most goalie SV% go up some, but his % numbers jumped up huge in most years. |

Where are you getting your information from Tanner? Are you paying attention? All signs at this time point to the NHL resuming play this Summer. |

America has had arguably the worst response to the Corona virus in the world and that is where most of the teams are from, so thinking that hockey will start, and that it won't have to immediately shut down shortly after if it does, seems naively optimistic to me.

I would like to see what your guesses are (note that there will be John Hughes movies coming up, but I don't consider them full on comedies) .

Yeah Cujo Rules, he was the goalie during the best years the Leaf have had since expansion, so I love the guy. |

Shhhhhhhhh Tanner Shhhhhhhhh
"Arguably" worst response to Corona in the world.". ????
You are one Big Tooolbag
Why can't you just stick to what little you know about hockey and leave it at that?
Every hockey fan is excited to see some sort of playoff hockey being played and you just can't resist to sour the mood.
You're the equivalent of getting a poop sandwich for lunch |

Well luckily in the real world, decisions are not based on your fantasy politics. You stated that it doesn't appear that the season will resume. I guess we now know that statement is based on really nothing.

Our tastes are like an old highway system and a new interstate system. They occasionally intertwine. So I got no idea. Some of my movies I laugh hard at are
Surf ninjas
Both Ave Ventura’s
Fear of a black hat
Robin Hood men in tights
The original ninja turtle trilogy
I like quotability. My brothers and I still cannot pass the rolls at thanksgiving without quoting rhmit.

Moonlight and Arrival were both amazing and well deserving of any praise they get. Popstar was also amazing and definitely deserves more credit, the Lonely Island guys make quality stuff. |

You are such a buzzkill. It must be tough being around you everyday. You should not write about hockey. Im not sure if you even like the sport. Serpico is a great movie though. |

Arrival was great, Popstar was very funny, but my favorite movie (and incidentally comedy) remains Scott Pilgrim vs the World. |

Clarke signing Vanbeisbrouk over Cujo cost the Flyers a cup IMHO...apparently Joseph thought it was a sure bet he was signing with Philly and was shocked when his agent called and told him about JV
I also gave up my season tickets after Toronto beat the Flyers in 99? when Beez cost them 2 games by letting up horrendous short-side goals from terrible angles. |

IIRC, Beezer signed for less money and term than what Cujo was seeking. So Clarke thought he got a steal. Unfortunately, Beezer's best days were behind him. He wasn't the same goalie who led Florida to a SCF berth in 1996. Cujo went on to steal alot of games for the Leafs. He was great for them. |

What the hell are you going to do? Shut the country down every time somebody sneezes? 60 thousand people died from the flu, and that’s with a flu shot.
I can go into Home Depot and by a pack of gum, go get a bottle of booze, hit the convenience store to get smokes and by a lotto ticket . Stand around with hundreds of people in and outside of Home Depot yet hockey shouldn’t start. You are a idiot ! |

It makes sense to lash out, 'cause if you helped put the guy in actual clown make-up in place, you're probably feeling like you have to deny a lot of information at this point in order to keep the guilt at bay.
